Abstract:

The material of this phenomenon was carried out in a special veterinary clinic by the application of uretral catheterization, then the Selçuk University, the Veterinary School of Veterinary Hospital (Konya, Turkey) formed a seven-month male cat with a complaint of urination difficulties. In light of clinical, laboratory, ultrasound and radiographic findings, iatrogenic urethra perforation was diagnosed in the case, diagnosis and treatment approaches were evaluated. In the physical examination of the cat that was found to have appetite, dropless blood urine and difficulties in urinating, stress and dehydration were detected in the urethra. Uretral catheterization was applied to assess the clarity of the urinary pathway, but urinary output was not provided. In the ultrasound examination, the applied uretral catheter was shown in the ventral abdominal area, also observed thickness and medium level of filling in the urethra wall. Latero-lateral direct radiographic examination observed that the urinary section was empty and the urinary end was in the ventral abdominal empty. As a result, experimental laparatomy with pre-diagnosis of iatrogenic urethra perforation was determined. During the operation, severe damage and rupture were detected in the penile urethra. The urinary section was drained into the wall of the womb and the urine flow was provided. After the operation, the urinary output began through the sonda.
