Özet:

  With the advance of the technologies in the field of the telecommunications a new generation of networks has emerged - the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). These networks are one of the top research areas for the last years. Some of their many disadvantages are the hardware limitations of the devices and the poor scalability performance of the routing protocols used for forwarding the data. In this paper we present a new method for adaptive cluster organization in WSN. After that we define some performance measures and then we conduct a series of simulation experiments with one of the most widely used routing protocols for WSN – LEACH. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method we modify LEACH with it and repeat the experiments in the same simulation conditions. At the end of the paper we compare the obtained results and we draw conclusions.
