Farklı Kullanım Alanlarındaki Bitkisel Kompozisyonların Bitkisel Tasarım İlkelerine Göre Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract:

Bitkisel kompozisyonlar oluştururken, ölçü, renk, form ve doku özellikleri açısından farklılıklar veya benzerlikler gösteren bitki türleri seçilerek farklı tasarım ilkeleri yaratılabilmektedir. Bitkisel tasarımda bitkisel kompozisyonların, bulundukları alanın özelliklerine ve kullanım amaçlarına göre farklı etkiler yaratması sağlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, farklı kullanım alanlarında ve farklı kullanım tiplerinde oluşturulmuş bitkisel kompozisyonlardaki bitkilerin ölçü ve form özelliklerinin incelenmesi ve bu özelliklerin bitkisel tasarım ilkelerine olan katkılarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırma, Akdeniz Üniversitesi kampusundeki Çarşı, Fakülte, Hastane ve Kütüphane bahçesi olmak üzere 4 farklı kullanım alanında bulunan giriş, yürüme yolu ve oturma alanı olarak belirlenen 3 farklı kullanım tipindeki alanlarda seçilen toplam 12 adet bitkisel kompozisyonun incelenmesi, bu kompozisyonlarda bulunan bitki türleri üzerinde ölçümler ve gözlemlerin yapılması kapsamında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, tüm kullanım alanlarında ve kullanım tiplerinde bitkisel kompozisyonlarda bitkilerin ölçü ve form özelliklerinin, bitkilerin kompozisyon içerisindeki konumlarına, ve sayılarına bağlı olarak bitkisel tasarım ilkelerine farklı katkılar sağladıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca bu çalışma sonucu, bitkisel kompozisyonlarda ölçü ve form açısından birbirlerinden oldukça farklı özellikler gösteren türlerle yapılan bitkisel kompozisyonlar kadar, ölçü ve form bakımından birbirine benzer özelliklerdeki bitki türleri ile oluşturulan bitkisel kompozisyonlar da tasarım ilkelerini sağlamada benzer derecede başarılı olabildiklerini göstermiştir.

Evaluation of plant compositions in different uses according to plant design principles

Abstract:

When creating plant compositions, different design principles can be created by selecting plant species that show differences or similarities in terms of size, color, shape and tissue characteristics. In the plant design, the plant compositions are provided to create different effects according to the characteristics of the area in which they are located and the purpose of use. This study aims to study the measurement and shape characteristics of plants in plant compositions created in different uses and in different types of uses and to determine their contribution to the principles of plant design. This research was conducted in the framework of measurements and observations on the plant species found in these compositions, the total of 12 plant compositions selected in the areas of 3 different types of use determined as entrance, walking path and seating area in 4 different uses, including Wednesday, Faculty, Hospital and Library Garden in the Mediterranean University campus. The study finds that in all uses and types of uses, the size and shape characteristics of plants in plant compositions make different contributions to the plant design principles depending on the position and number of plants in their composition. Furthermore, the results of this study showed that plant compositions made with species with very different characteristics in size and shape in plant compositions, and plant compositions made with species with similar characteristics in size and shape also could be similarly successful in providing design principles.

In planting design, plants compositions are provided to create different effects depending on the properties of their area and their purpose of usage. In this study, it is aimed to examine the size and form properties of plants in different usage areas and in different usage types and to determine the contribution of these properties to the principles of planting design. This research was carried out within the scope of making measurements and observations on the plant species in the total of 12 plants compositions selected in 3 different usage types determined as entrance, walking path and sitting area in 4 different usage areas, namely the Bazaar, Faculty, Hospital and Library garden at Akdeniz University campus. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the size and form characteristics of plants in plants compositions in all areas of use and use types make different contributions to the principles of planting design depending on the location and number of plants in the composition. In addition, as a result of this study, it has been shown that plants compositions made with species that show very different properties in terms of size and form, as well as plants compositions made with plant types that are similar in size and form, are similarly successful in providing design principles.
