Çağdaş sanat, yirminci yüzyılda ortaya çıkan bir fenomen olarak günümüze kadar güçlü bir şekilde varlığını sürdürmekte ve geleneksel sanatları dışlama eğiliminde bulunmaktadır. Çağdaş sanat, geleneksel sanatsal ifadeleri sorgulama ve yeniden tanımlama yeteneği ile karakterize edilen 20. yüzyılda önemli bir gelişme yaşamıştır. Bu makale, 1990'larda ortaya çıkan, Young British Artists ve sanat pazarı desteğinin egemenliğine karşı çıkan bir muhalif grup olan Stuckistlerin ortaya çıkışını ve etkisini incelemektedir. Charles Thomson ve Billy Childish önderliğindeki Stuckistler, resim yapma, teknik beceri, zanaat, figüratif temsil ve duyusal etkileşim gibi geleneksel prensiplerin önemini vurgulamışlardır. Stuckistler, eleştirel tartışma ve halka açık gösteriler aracılığıyla, sanat kurumlarına ve çağdaş sanatçılara çok yönlü eleştiri yaparak önemli bir takipçi kitlesi elde etmiştir. Ancak, katkıları eleştiriden öteye geçmiş, resim yapma ve geleneksel formları etkileyici bir yanıt olarak sunarak modernizm, tarihsel bağlam ve sanatın geleceği üzerine tartışmayı yeniden şekillendirmiştir. Contemporary art, as a phenomenon that emerged in the twentieth century, continues to exist strongly until today and tends to exclude traditional art. Contemporary art has experienced a significant development in the 20th century, characterized by the ability to question and re-definite traditional artistic expressions. This article examines the appearance and influence of the 1990s, Young British Artists and an opposition group opposed to the domination of the art market support. Stuckists led by Charles Thomson and Billy Childish have emphasized the importance of traditional principles such as painting, technical skills, craftsmanship, figurative representation and sensual interaction. Through critical discussions and public demonstrations, Stuckists have gained an important followers' crowd by criticizing the art institutions and contemporary artists. However, the contribution has exceeded criticism, presenting painting and traditional forms as an impressive response, re-formed the debate on modernism, historical context and the future of art. Thus, Stuckists have developed a more comprehensive and comprehensive dialogue beyond their individual perspectives.
This study explores the influence of Stuckists on the contemporary art scene and discovers the transformative power of their investigations. By questioning the sovereign art standards and defending the return to traditional art practices, the Stuckists encouraged a broader re-evaluation of contemporary art, raising discussions on the role of artistic principles, aesthetic values and traditions in shaping the future of artistic expression. With their active participation, the Stuckists have contributed to the re-understanding of contemporary art, advancing the field by directing it to new and uncovered areas.

Led by Charles Thomson and Billy Childish, the Stuckists emphasized the importance of traditional principles such as painting, technical skill, craftsmanship, figurative representation, and sensory engagement. Through critical discourse and public demonstrations, the Stuckists undertook a multifaceted critique of art institutions and contemporary artists, attracting a considerable following. Through their active engagement, the Stuckists have contributed to a renewed understanding of contemporary art, propelling the field into new and uncharted territories.
