Özet:

The purpose of this research is to elaborate the existence of local political parties in Aceh and to examine the role of local political parties in the struggle for political identity in Aceh. This article used library research and field study through interviews with several sources and respondents to sharpen the analysiss. The results the existence of local political parties in Aceh. The presence of local political parties changed the pattern of physical struggle into political struggle. The existence of local political parties is used as an effort to anticipate the disintegration that ex-combatants want to carry out. Political struggle through the cadre of local political parties in order to dominate the membership structure of the people's representatives. Therefore, formal legal mechanisms in maintaining the implementation of norms for the implementation of Islamic law through the formation of Qonun (Regional Regulations) which are spearheaded by members of the Council from local political parties. This is one of the efforts to preserve the existence of local communities based on special rules.
