Başta verimlilik kaybını olmak üzere birçok örgütsel soruna neden olabilen işte var olamama, çalışanın psikolojik ve fizyolojik sağlığını da etkilemektedir. Diğer yandan çalışan çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı (işin kaybedilme korkusu, kariyer hedeflerini gerçekleştirememe korkusu) örgütleri ile ilgili konularda bilgi ve düşüncelerini paylaşmamayı tercih etmesiyle başlayan sessizlik süreci örgütsel düzeyde sorunlara neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, otel çalışanlarının işte var olamama algılarının örgütsel sessizlik üzerine olan etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 272 otel çalışanı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket formundan yararlanılmıştır. Anket formu, işte var olamama ve örgütsel sessizlik ölçekleri ile demografik sorulardan oluşmaktadır. Veriler, kartopu örnekleme yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler, SPSS 22.0 ve AMOS 21.0 programları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde betimleyici istatistikler, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, korelasyon ve yapısal eşitlik modelinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, otel işletmesi çalışanlarının işte var olamama algılarının, örgütsel sessizliğin kabullenici sessizlik boyutunu, koruma amaçlı sessizlik boyutunu ve savunmacı sessizlik boyutunu anlamlı olarak etkilediği tespit edilmiştir.
The failure to exist in the work that can cause many organizational problems, including the loss of efficiency, also affects the employee's psychological and physiological health. On the other hand, the silence process that begins with the worker's preference to not share knowledge and thoughts on issues related to organizations for various reasons (threatening to losing work, fear of not achieving their career goals) causes problems at the organizational level. The aim of this study is to explore the impact of the perceptions of the hotel employees’ inexistence on the organizational silence. The study was conducted by 272 hotel employees. In the research, the survey form was used as a data collection tool. The survey form consists of non-existence and organizational silence scales and demographic questions. The data is collected by the sample method of the cartopus. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. In data analysis, illustrative statistics, verifying factor analysis, correlation and structural equality models have been used. Research findings have found that hotel business employees’ perceptions of unexistence, organizational silence significantly affect the acceptable size of silence, the size of protection silence and the size of defence silence.
