Abstract:

Hussein Nihal ATSIZ in his novel "Bozkurtlar" on the history of Göktürk, he tells the bozkir life of the period through historical characters. Atzız in this work, while addressing the Turkish Tours and the social ethics of the Turks, it also provides information about the daily lives of the Turks. The aim of this study is to be aware of the game and entertainment culture of the period, by determining the leisure activities in which the Turkish people participate in the bozzar life in the light of what Atsız tells. It is also important that the events occurring in two sections, "The Death of the Bozkurt" and "The Bozkurt Resurrection", which make up the novel, pass in different geographics, the presence of different cultures in these geographics, the social morality and the geography that is experienced to show the impact on the communities' free-time evaluation habits. In the novel, considering the conditions of the time spent, the concept of free time was developed and the activities that individuals participated in were evaluated in the context of the game theories. The study in this direction is a social time study that discusses the social life elements, such as the way of life, beliefs, traditions and habits of the period, entertainment types, competitions, ceremonies, from a recreational point of view. The most remarkable aspect of the games played in the broken life is that the rules are games. Respecting the rules is equal to respecting the rules. In the theories of the game, the "life preparation theory" is seen as an approach that defines the objectives of participating in the games of children who are prepared for their subsequent lives in the adult life. The children are preparing for their future lives by experiencing actions related to the advanced stages of life through the game. The same children learn the rules of the Turkish ceremony through the game, according to the "socio-cultural development theory".
