Bu çalışmada Suriyeli öğrencilerin Türkçe becerilerinin ve okula uyum süreçlerinin Türk ve Suriyeli öğrencilerin görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Suriyeli öğrencilerin Türkçe öğrenme ve sınıfa uyum süreçleri hakkında görüşlerini inceleyen bu çalışmada olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Böylece öğrencilerin bu süreçte yaşadığı deneyimler ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma Kilis ilindeki Suriyeli ve Türk öğrencilerin beraber eğitim gördüğü iki devlet okulunda yürütülmüştür. Çalışma için 46 Türk öğrenci ve 39 Suriyeli öğrenci seçilmiştir. Öğrencilerin belirlenmesinde amaçlı örneklem yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu öğrencilerden veri toplamak için araştırmacılar tarafından yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları hazırlanmıştır. Öğrencilerle yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Önceden belirlenen temalar içerisine kodlar yerleştirilmiş ve öğrenci görüşlerinden örnekler verilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Suriyeli öğrencilerin Türkçe öğrenme ve okula uyum konusunda birçok sorun yaşadığı belirlenmiştir. Suriyeli öğrencilerin yaşadıkları sorunların başında konuşma becerisindeki yetersizlikleri yer almaktadır. Öğrenciler yaşadıkları sorunları çözerken çoğunlukla öğretmenlerinden ve arkadaşlarından yardım almakta ve daha çok çalışarak üstesinden gelmektedirler. Türk öğrencilerden bazıları olumlu tavırlar geliştirirken çoğunlukla olumsuz görüşe sahip oldukları anlaşılmaktadır. Çalışmanın genel sonuçları itibariyle Suriyeli öğrencilerin Türkçe öğrenme ve sınıfa uyum süreçlerinin Türk öğrenciler nazarında birçok sorunu beraberinde taşıdığı ve olumsuz yargılara sebep olduğu anlaşılırken Suriyeli öğrenciler ise kendilerini geliştirmek ve ilerletmek için daha olumlu yargılara sahiptir. Ortaya çıkan sonuçlar doğrultusunda Suriyeli öğrencilerle Türk öğrencilerin beraber etkinlikte bulunacağı uygulamaların gerçekleştirilmesine ihtiyaç olduğu söylenebilir.
This study aims to evaluate the Turkish skills of Syrian students and the processes of adaptation to the school according to the views of Turkish and Syrian students. This study, which examines the opinions of Syrian students on Turkish learning and class adjustment processes, has been used by the event model. Thus, the students are trying to reveal the experiences that the students have experienced in this process. The study was carried out in two state schools where Syrian and Turkish students studied together. For the study, 46 Turkish students and 39 Syrian students were selected. Students have used the method of sample measurement for the purpose of the study. Half-configured interview forms are prepared by researchers to collect data from these students. In the analysis of the data obtained from the interviews with students, the visual analysis method was used. In the subjects previously identified, codes were placed and examples of students' opinions were given. The study found that Syrian students had many problems in learning and adapting to the school. The main problems of the Syrian students are the lack of speech skills. Students often seek help from their teachers and friends while solving the problems they experience and work more to overcome them. It is clear that some Turkish students often have negative views while developing positive attitudes. According to the general results of the study, it is clear that the processes of Turkish learning and class adjustment of Syrian students bring many problems with the Turkish students and cause negative judgments, while Syrian students have more positive judgments to develop and advance themselves. According to the findings, it can be said that there is a need for the implementation of the practices that Syrian students and Turkish students will participate in the activities together.
