The Balkan lands are at the forefront of the lands that the Ottoman Empire conquered before the conquest of Istanbul. Among these lands, Varna was one of the earliest places to join the Ottoman lands. Varna district gained fame in the history of the Ottoman Empire with the Battle of Varna, which was won against the Crusaders in 1444. After this victory, the town in question experienced a rapid transformation and started to gain the characteristic of Ottoman cities. In the study, Varna, one of the important Ottoman cities in the Balkan lands, in the XIX. The demographic and economic structure of the first half of the century was examined. In this study, in which the number of households in the villages and neighborhoods of Varna was determined through other archive documents, especially the Temettuat Notebooks, the estimated population number of the Muslim non-Muslim population was tried to be revealed. After the population of the accident was determined, agricultural and animal husbandry activities were determined on the basis of the village. In this context, firstly, acres of cultivated or fallow lands, vineyards and rented lands in villages were determined, and then the species and number of small and bovine animals were determined. In addition, in the study, information is given about the annual income of the neighborhoods and villages and the tax they pay, especially the tithe and jizya tax. All these findings obtained in the study XIX. It is thought that it will contribute to revealing the basic dynamics of the demographic and economic structure of Varna district in the first half of the century.
