Bu çalışmanın amacı Mersin Tarsus Organize Sanayi Bölgesi’nde faaliyet gösteren KOBİ statüsündeki işletmelerde kriz algılama ve krizle başa çıkma stratejileri üzerinde yöneticilerin liderlik tiplerinin etkisini incelemektir. Bu maksatla Mersin Tarsus Organize Sanayi Bölgesinde faaliyetlerini sürdüren Kobi’lerde kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle çeşitli kademelerde çalışan 337 çalışandan anket tekniği kullanılarak toplanan veriler regresyon analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Yapılan regresyon analizi sonucunda sürdürümcü liderlik tipinin liderlerin kriz algılama düzeylerini etkilemediği, dönüştürücü liderlik tipinin kriz algılama düzeylerini pozitif yönde, serbest bırakıcı liderlik tipinin ise negatif yönde etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Liderlik tiplerinin krizle başa çıkma stratejileri üzerine etkisi değerlendirildiğinde, dönüştürücü liderlik tipinin krizle başa çıkmada öncü, analizci, tepkici ve savunmacı stratejilerin kullanımını olumlu yönde etkilediği görülmüştür. Serbest bırakıcı liderlik tipine sahip yöneticilerin sadece savunmacı strateji üzerine olumlu etkisi görülürken sürdürümcü liderlik tipine sahip yöneticilerin kullanılan krizle başa çıkma stratejileri üzerine herhangi bir etkisi olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen tüm sonuçlar alan yazını bulguları ışığında tartışılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to examine the influence of the leadership types of managers on crisis detection and crisis management strategies in companies in the KOBI status operating in the Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial Region. For this purpose, the data collected using the survey technique from 337 employees working in various stages in the Kobi, which continue to operate in the Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial Area, was subject to regression analysis. The regression analysis found that the sustainable leadership type did not affect the levels of crisis perception of leaders, the transformative leadership type affected the levels of crisis perception in a positive direction, and the liberating leadership type in a negative direction. When assessed the impact of leadership types on crisis management strategies, it has been shown that the transformative leadership type has a positive impact on the use of pioneering, analytical, reactive, and defense strategies in crisis management. Managers with the liberalizing leadership type have only a positive impact on the defence strategy, while managers with the sustainable leadership type have no impact on the strategies used to tackle the crisis. All the results obtained in the study were discussed in the light of the findings of the field.
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of leadership types on crisis perception and coping strategies of SMEs operating in Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone. For this purpose, regression analyzes were executed on the data gathered with convenience sampling technique from 337 employees working at various levels in SMEs operating in Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that the transactional leadership type did not affect the crisis perception levels of the leaders, the transformational leadership type affected the crisis perception positively and the Laissez-Faire leadership type negatively. When the effects of leadership types on the strategies to deal with the crisis were evaluated, it was seen that the transformational leadership type positively influenced the use of pioneer, analyst, reactive and defensive strategies. In addition, it was found that managers with releasing leadership type had a positive effect only on the defensive strategy, while managers with subscriber leadership type had no effect on the coping strategies used. Acquired results were discussed within the literature.
