Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının özyeterlik inançları ile öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Çalışmaya son sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 95 fen bilgisi öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Veri toplamak için Öğretmen Özyeterlik Ölçeği ve Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Karşı Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistik, korelasyon ve Mann-Whitney U testi istatistikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının özyeterlik algılarının cinsiyet değişkenine göre öğrenci katılımı ve öğretim stratejileri alt boyutlarında anlamlı biçimde farklılaşma belirlenirken sınıf yönetimi ve mesleğe karşı tutumlarında anlamlı farklılığın olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının özyeterlik ile öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları arasında pozitif düzeyde bir korelasyon olduğu belirlenmiştir
The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between the beliefs of the teacher candidates in self-sufficiency and their attitudes towards the teaching profession. The study was attended by 95 teachers who were studying in the last class. To collect data, the teacher’s self-sufficiency scale and the teaching profession’s attitude scale have been used. The analysis of the data used visual statistics, correlation and Mann-Whitney U test statistics. The study found that there was no significant differences in class management and attitudes to the profession, while there was no significant differences in student participation and teaching strategies according to the gender variable. The research also found that the knowledge of science has a positive level of correlation between the self-sufficiency and the attitudes of teaching candidates towards the teaching profession.
