Küreselleşme ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin ortaya konulmasının taşıdığı önem bakımından bu çalışmada, küreselleşme ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisi ve yönü, seçilmiş 88 ülke için 2000-2016 dönemi yıllık verileri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada yöntem olarak Dumitrescu ve Hurlin panel nedensellik testi kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre ekonomik büyüme ve ekonomik küreselleşme, ekonomik büyüme ve sosyal küreselleşme, ekonomik büyüme ve teknolojik küreselleşme arasında çift yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi mevcut iken ekonomik büyümeden genel küreselleşmeye ve ekonomik büyümeden politik küreselleşmeye doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
In view of the importance of revealing the relationship between globalization and economic growth, this study analyzed the causal relationship and direction between globalization and economic growth, using the annual data for the 2000-2016 period for 88 selected countries. The study used Dumitrescu and Hurlin panel causality test as a method. The results of the analysis have found that economic growth and economic globalization, economic growth and social globalization, economic growth and technological globalization have a two-way causal relationship, while economic growth and technological globalization have a one-way causal relationship, from economic growth to general globalization and from economic growth to political globalization.
With regard to the importance of revealing the relationship between globalization and economic growth, causality relationship between globalization and economic growth has been analyzed by using annual data for 2000-2016 for 88 countrıes in this study. Dumitrescu and Hurlin panel causality test was used. According to the findings of the analysis, while there is a two-way causality relationship between economic growth and economic globalization, economic growth and social globalization, economic growth and technological globalization; It is concluded that there is a one-way causality relationship from economic growth to general globalization and from economic growth to political globalization.
