Bu çalışmanın amacı, Adana’nın Seyhan ilçesinde bulunan ortaokul ve liselerde, gençler arasında yaşanan anlaşmazlıkların belirlenerek, kişisel düzeyde şiddet kültürünün önlenmesi ve toplumsal barış, uzlaşı, diyalog ve bütünleşme kültürünü geliştirecek uygulamalarla anlaşmazlıkların yönetilmesini ve dönüştürülmesini hedefleyen “Seyhan’da Arabulucu/Barış Yapıcı Lider Öğrenci Yetişiyor” projesini değerlendirmektir. Bu çalışmada, yoğun göç ve düzensiz kentleşme, beraberinde pek çok sorunun var olduğu Adana’nın en büyük ilçesi Seyhan’da bulunan devlet ortaokulları ve liselerinde dört yıl boyunca uygulanan çatışma çözme ve akran arabuluculuk modelinin sonuçlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Proje süresince, 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında 3 pilot okuldan 300 öğrenci, 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılında 13 liseden 1184 öğrenci belirlenmiş olup, takip eden 2 yılda projenin ilçedeki 97 ortaokul ve lisede yaygınlaştırılarak öğrencilere “Anlaşmazlık Çözümü, Müzakere ve Akran Arabuluculuk Eğitim Programı” uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışma, arabuluculuk sözleşmelerinin doküman analizi incelemesi ile yürütülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda yapılan tüm müzakere ve akran arabuluculuk sözleşmeleri yıllar (2018-2019 yılları hariç) bazında; yetişen arabulucu sayısı, yapılan arabuluculuk sayısı, disiplin olay sayıları, çatışmaların yapıcı çözüme ulaşma sayısı açısından incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, 3 yıllık süreç içerisinde birikimli olarak 3322 akran arabulucu öğrenci yetiştirildiği, 309 anlaşmazlık yaşandığı, 288 vakada uzlaşma sağlandığı, arabuluculuk görüşmelerinin başarı oranının %93 olduğu, yapıcı çatışma çözme uygulamalarının seçildiği tespit edilmiştir. Öğrenciler sınıf arkadaşları tarafından sosyometri tekniği kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sürecinde veli, öğretmen ve yöneticilerle, kabul ve desteklerini almak için düzenli toplantılar yapılarak sürece dahil olmaları sağlanmıştır. Proje bulguları, arabuluculuk eğitiminin, öğrencilerin liderlik, eleştirel düşünme, etkin dinleme, yapıcı konuşma, duyguları ve olayları ayırt etme becerisi kazanma, ben dili kullanma becerisi kazanma, empatik düşünme ve olaya diğeri açısından bakabilme, özdenetim, sosyal-duygusal yönden gelişim ve problem çözme becerisini olumlu şekilde etkilediğini, sınıf ve okul atmosferini geliştirdiğini ve okul disiplin sorunlarının okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenler üzerinde oluşturduğu baskıyı azalttığını göstermiştir.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the project "Middle Schools and High Schools in Adana's Seyhan district, identifying the disputes between young people, prevention of the culture of violence on a personal level and the management and transformation of disputes with the practices that will develop social peace, reconciliation, dialogue and integration culture. In this study, intense migration and irregular urbanization, with many problems, a major district of Adana in Seyhan, the state high school and high school, which is applied for four years, a conflict resolution and the results of the model of associate mediation. During the project, 300 students from 3 pilot schools in the 2015-2016 educational year, 1184 students from 13 secondary schools in the 2016-2017 educational year were identified, and in the following 2 years the project was spread to 97 secondary schools and secondary schools in the district and the students were applied "Discussions Solution, Negotiations and Co-Mediation Education Program". This study was carried out by examination of the document analysis of mediation contracts. All negotiations and co-mediation agreements undertaken in this regard have been examined on the basis of years (except for 2018-2019); the number of mediators that have grown, the number of mediations that have been carried out, the number of disciplinary events, and the number of conflicts that have achieved constructive solution. As a result, in the course of 3 years, 3322 fellow mediating students were educated, 309 disputes occurred, 288 cases agreed, the success rate of mediation talks was 93% and constructive conflict resolution practices were selected. Students are determined by classmates using sociometry techniques. They are provided to be involved in the work process with the tutors, teachers and managers, as long as regular meetings are held to receive their acceptance and support. Project findings have shown that mediation education positively affects students’ ability to lead, critical thinking, effective listening, constructive speech, feelings and events, I gain the ability to use the language, empathic thinking and the ability to look at the other perspective of the event, self-audit, social-emotional development and problem-solving skills, develops the class and school atmosphere, and reduces the pressure that school discipline issues create on school managers and teachers.
The purpose of this study is the evaluation of the Project called: THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT_TRAINING PEACE MAKER AND MEDIATOR STUDENTS IN SEYHAN TO MANAGE CONFLICTS by means of training students as mediators in schools so that they will help develop social peace, dialoque and prevent individual violence culture..In this study it is aimed to measure the efficiancy of the peer mediation process in solving the conflicts for four year in the secondary level educational institutions ın Adana/Seyhan. Seyhan district is the most crowded province af Adana city. Seyhan lives a very heavy immigration flow and unplanned city formation problems and many others. During the project in year 2016, 300 students from three pilot schools; and in 2017, 1184 students from 13 lycee s had been selected and trained. Following 2 years project results had been disseminated in 97 more schools. Students had been trained on Conflict Management; Discussion and Peer Mediation processes.These efforts had been followed by document analysis of and evaluations.To help this; all of the Mediation contracts; The number of the mediators trained;the number of the disciplinary cases;the number of the conflicts solved had been evaluated.İn conclusion:3322 students had been tarined as Mediators; there had been 309 disciplinary cases; 288 cases had been solved by mediators;and the success rate was 93 %. Trainees had been selected from the classes depending on the Sociometry inventory results. Throughout the roject implementation period teachers and school administratars have been invited to informative meetings to gain their acceptaure and support. Project finding show that: The Mediation training helpstudents improve their capalities of leadership, critical thinking, active listening, constructive talking, ability of coring about feelings and though, using me language, empative thinking and understanding the others way of obsering events, self control, social&emational development and problem solving skills, enhancing school and classroom environment and decreasing the pressure ever school teaches and administrators thanks to the diminishing disciplinary cases
