Workplace violence observed almost everywhere significantly affects working lives of the people who are exposed to violence. The impact of violence on people and the reactions to violence depends on various variables. In this study it is aimed to evaluate the relationship between research assistants perceptions of mobbing to which they are exposed in their workplace and their emotional intelligence level. The study group of the research has been composed of 103 research assistants and Psychologically Violent Behaviour Assessment Scale and Emotional Intelligence Scale have been used to collect data.Percentage and frequency distributions, means and standard deviation have been provided in the analysis of the data.Spearman correlation coefficients has been used to examine the relationship between the scores of the scale. As a result, it has been found out that there is no meaningful relationship between perception of mobbing and the emotional intelligence level (p˃0,05).It is observed that there is a meaningful relationship between the perception of mobbing, psychological effects of mobbing and the reactions to this situation (p˂0,001).
