Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, mobilya endüstrisinde yaygın olarak kullanılan termoplastik esaslı polivinilasetat (PVAc) ve termoset esaslı üreformaldehid (UF) tutkallı ahşap birleşmelerin yapışma performanslarına sıcaklık artışının etkileri araştırılmıştır.Bunun için, sarıçam (Pinus silvestris L.) Doğu kayını (Fagus orientalis Lipsky), sapsız meşe (Quercus petrea liebl) ve yalancı akasya (Robinia pseudoacacia) odunlarından toplam 320 adet deney örneği hazırlanmıştır. Örnekler 20 °C, 40 °C, 60 °C ve 80 °C' lik ortamda iki saat bekletildikten sonra TS EN 205 esaslarına göre çekme deneyi uygulanmıştır.Deneyler sonunda, PVAc ve UF tutkallı deney örneklerinde sıcaklık arttıkça yapışma performansının azaldığı, azalma miktarının UF tutkallılarda PVAc tutkallılara ve akasyada diğer ağaç türlerine göre daha küçük olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Effects Of The Elevated Temperatures On Bonding Performances Of Glued Wood Joints

Abstract:

In this exsperimental study, bonding performances on the glued wood joints using thermoplastics based polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and thermoset based ürea-formaldehyde (UF) were investigated. For this purpose, totaly 320 specimens were prepared from Scots pine (Pinus silvestris L.), Oriental beech (Fagus orientalis L.), oak wood (Quercus petrea Liebl) and acacia (Robinia pseudoacacia L.). The samples were subjected to elevated temperature of 20 C, 40 C, 60 C and 80 C for two hours prior to bonding test according to TS EN 205. Results indicated that bonding performance was lowered by the increased levels of the temperatures applied UF was more durable conpared to PVAc adhesive. Acacia performed better then other wood types in terms of bonding performance.
