Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to investigate communication skills of physical education, music and art/visual art teachers. Participants of the study consisted of 91 xage=42.7 physical aducation, 35 xage=41.9 art, 36 xage=36.3 music with total of 162 xage=41.1 teachers. Communication skills level of the participants is measured by “The Communication Skills Scale” developed by Korkut. Additionally a “Personal Information Form” is utilized. t-test and One Way ANOVA is utilized for data whose number of observations is n>30 and Krukal Wallis H test is utilized for data whose is n>30and not normal distribution. Findings indicate that the mean score of the participants’ communication skills is x=4.30±0.37 . It is also found that the differences according to variables such as branch F=.313, p>.05 , gender t 160 =.337, p>.05 , worked institution’s educational level t 160 =3.26, p>.05 , professional seniority year F 3158 =.513, p>.05 and change request to profession χ 2 =1.535, p>.05 are not significant
