Destek eğitim odaları, kaynaştırma eğitimi kapsamında, özel gereksinimli öğrencilerin kendilerine sunulan eğitim hizmetinden en üst düzeyde yararlanmalarını sağlamak amacıyla, özel araç-gereçler ve materyaller sağlanarak oluşturulan ortamlardır. Destek eğitim odalarında öncelikle okulun öğretmenlerinden olmak üzere özel eğitim öğretmenleri, sınıf öğretmeni ve alan öğretmenleri ile Rehberlik Araştırma Merkezlerinde görevli özel eğitim öğretmenleri ya da diğer okul ve kurumlardaki öğretmenler görevlendirilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı destek eğitim odalarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin destek eğitim odalarına ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmaya Ankara’nın Altındağ, Keçiören ve Yenimahalle ilçelerindeki okulların destek eğitim odalarında görev yapan 18 öğretmen katılmıştır. Nitel yöntemin kullanıldığı çalışmada, veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme sorularıyla toplanmış, tümevarım yöntemi kullanılarak içerik analizi tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları destek eğitim odalarının amacı doğrultusunda kullanılamadığını, ancak bu odaların gerekli ve faydalı olduğunu göstermiştir.
Support training rooms are environments created by providing special tools and materials, in order to ensure that special needs students benefit beyond the level of the educational service offered to them. Support training rooms are primarily assigned to private educational teachers, class teachers and field teachers, and special educational teachers or teachers in other schools and institutions in the guidance research centers. The aim of this study is to show the opinions of teachers working in support training rooms. The study included 18 teachers working in the support training rooms of schools in the districts of Altındağ, Keçiören and Yenimahalle in Ankara. In the study in which the quality method was used, the data was collected with semi-configured interview questions, analyzed with the content analysis technique using the tubing method. Research findings have shown that support training rooms cannot be used in accordance with the purpose, but these rooms are necessary and useful.
