Abstract:

Ahmet Kutsi Tecer is an important person who has printed his name among the unforgettable artists with many works he has earned to Turkish literature. Thro his work, Tecer, which focused on announcing the voice of Anadolu and Anadolu, knew the task of prioritizing the people and people’s culture in every point of the art. The suffering, joy and other emotions the people experience manifest themselves clearly in their works. The goal is that each person finds a piece of his own work. Therefore, in their works, the concepts of life - death, happiness - sadness, praise of natural beauty - like the desire to escape from the place in which they are found, contain concrete meanings. For it is intended to address the whole humanity in its works, and each of these concepts is present in different times in the life of people. The most comprehensive of these concepts are life and death. Life and death are situations that each person encounters in a way. Life, Tecer, which is closely connected to life, and death is also part of life, and encourages people to live both the moment and not to forget the death. Every kind of feeling finds its place in life. The end of life and therefore the end of emotions is death. In this study, we will study the poems of Ahmet Kutsi Tecer and focus on how the concepts of life and death in these poems are addressed.

Ahmet Kutsi Tecer, who is one of the most unforgetable artists with his pieces in Turkish literature, is an important person. Tecer, focusing on Anatolia and Anatolia’s problems in many of his studies, undertook society and its culture as a duty. Society’s sorrow, happiness and other feelings apparently show themselves in his works. While writing his works, Tecer aimed everyone find a piece of himself in them. For that reason, in his works there are opposite concepts such as life - death, happiness - sorrow, praise of natural beauties - running away from the current place. Because he wants to speak to all humanity and these concepts take place in people’s life at different times. The most inclusive ones of the named concepts are life and death. Life and death are the ones that people will have to face in a way in their lifes. Tecer, conducting life tightly, assumes death as a part of life and advises people not only to seize the day but also remember the death. Each feeling has its place in life. The end of the life, consequently the end of the feelings is death. In this study, Ahmet Kutsi Tecer’s poems will be analyzed and will be focused on how the concepts of life and death are handled.
