Abstract:

In this study, the aim is to study and compare the values contained in the texts in the primary Turkish and Life Knowledge curricula books. In this context, according to the 10 root values indicated in the 2018 renewed curricula (justness, friendship, honesty, self-audit, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism, utility) text in class 2 and 3 Turkish and Life Knowledge curricula books have been studied. In the study, the methods of study of the status have been applied to the model of study. The method of data collection is the method of document review, which is the method of data collection. The data in the study, 2018-2019 educational year in Adana or state schools are taught in the 2nd class of Koza Publishing Turkish and Ipekyolu Publishing Life Information Course Books with 3. MEB Publications of the Classes in Turkish and MEB Publications in Life Knowledge is obtained from the text in the lessons. Created "Values Review Form" is applied to the texts in the curricula books, thus the values are identified. In the analysis of the obtained data, content analysis and frequency (frequency) analysis were used. According to the results obtained from the study, the root values in the texts in the Turkish and Life Knowledge curriculum books are compared according to themes, units, class level and class type. The results obtained from the study were presented on the basis of the findings discussed and obtained in the relevant field.
