Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to determine the tendencies of the researches related to dictionary use. For this purpose, according to the keywords, databases such as Ulakbim-UVT, Asos Index, Turkish Education Index tei and ISI Web of Science , ERIC, Google Scholar and National Thesis Center have been scanned. The researches reached were analyzed using the classification form according to the type, year, subject, number of authors, research methods and design, sampling, data collection tool and data analysis method. As a result of the research, it has been determined that a total of 67 scientific kinds of research, 57 of which are articles and 10 are postgraduate theses, have been carried out until 2019, and the most publications on the subject were published in 2015 and 2018. It has been observed that the investigated studies mostly focused on school dictionaries and carried out according to qualitative research patterns. It was revealed that document analysis, form and survey were used in data collection, and content analysis and frequency, t-test and ANOVA statistics were used in the analysis process.
