Abstract:

This study was conducted on students studying at different high schools in order to determine how the Z generation’s attitude towards digital technology has changed. Gender, family income status, mother and father educational status variables have determined the factors that influence students’ attitudes to digital technologies, the digital tools they use and what purpose they use. It has been determined that students have a positive attitude towards digital technology, that their attitudes towards digital technology change depending on their income and education levels, and that there is no change according to their gender. Students have mostly stated that they use smartphones, tablets, laptops. Through these tools, students have been able to perform activities such as listening and downloading music, watching TV, watching and downloading videos from the internet, browsing on social networks, browsing on the internet. Students have expressed their view that digital technologies can make life easier, and that if they are not used for their purpose, they can affect life in a negative way, leading individuals to tenderness, their imagination, and addiction.
