The diversification of exports on the basis of products has an importance for the country’s economy. The diversification of the export product seat is of great importance in terms of stability in foreign exchange revenues and the sustainability of export increases in the long term. Moreover, the diversification of exports contributes positively to the external competitiveness of the countries. In this study, the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Lithuania and Estonia) were trying to measure the degree of product concentration in exports. For this purpose, the most popular methods of concentration rate (CR) and Gini-Hirschman index (GH) have been used in practical studies. The study covers the period 2001–2018 and the data used is obtained from the database of the International Trade Center. The findings show that the Baltic countries have a medium level of concentration in exports based on products. Another point of interest in the study is that the calculated index values are increasingly decreasing throughout the study period. This situation shows that the concentration rate in the products of the Baltic countries has decreased over the course of the period addressed. In particular, in Latvia and Lithuania, the concentration rate of product exports has been observed relatively reduced.
