This research was carried out with the aim of studying the attitudes of teachers candidates to astronomy and to reveal the impact of the level of learning and gender variables on this attitude. The study used the scanning model and the study was conducted with 78 teachers candidates in the 2017-2018 academic year. Primary and secondary classes include Life Knowledge Course, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 classes of Science Course and secondary class 12 classes of Physics in the contents of astronomy subjects. Despite the teaching candidates taking all of these courses from elementary school, their positive attitudes towards astronomy appear not at the desired level. The greatest task in increasing the attitude and interest of students towards astronomy lies to the Teachers of Science. Teachers' attitudes towards astronomy can directly or indirectly affect their students' attitudes. In this study, it was determined that in the candidates for teachers of science, the level of learning and gender variables have no attitude to astronomy impact. It has also been determined that the lessons they received from primary education and included in astronomy subjects do not show an expected impact on their attitudes towards astronomy.
