Abstract:

The purpose of this article is to create a general picture of the present situation of the Eastern Christianity and especially the Christian groups living in the Islamic country. What is “Eastern Christianity” and how it was formed, what the Eastern Christians are, the process of formation of the Eastern Christianity, the different churches within this concept have been studied, and then the Christians who belong to these churches today have been given the right to information. From a historical perspective, it is clear that Christian groups, which have lived under a governance for centuries, free in their religious, economic and educational activities, with the collapse of the Ottoman people, face themselves in different states, different governments and different treatments. The collapse of the Ottoman means the collapse of the peace environment that is still unable to beined in these lands today. Many of the Christians seeking a peaceful environment have left the area where they were, and many have migrated abroad. In the face of today’s crushing picture of Eastern Christianity, it is not possible to see that the 13th century domination paradigm has disappeared and that peace and stability are also disappeared. Even today we can talk about the “Eastern Christians” is a result of this paradigm.
