Abstract:

The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between the self-regulating skills that primary school fourth grade students have and the academic achievements of the social information course. In the study, a relative scanning model, which is one of the scanning models, was used. The sample of the study was made by 550 fourth-class students who are studying in 14 schools in the Erzincan district in the Education-Teaching year 2018-2019. The data of the research was collected through the "self-regulating scale" developed by the researcher. In the analysis of the data obtained within the framework of the research; visual statistics, multi-variant variance analysis (MANOVA) and pearson moment fraction correlation analysis were used. The results of the research are summarized below. 1 . Primary school fourth-class students have a high score in their learning strategies. However, the scores of help searching and effort spending skills have been low. 2nd The conclusion was that there was a significant difference between the scores of the students of the 4th grade of primary school in terms of gender variables in their self-regulation skills. and 3. Primary school fourth-class students have found that the mother and father’s level of education (no know how to read, know how to read, primary school, secondary school, high school, university) has a significant difference in the average score of their self-regulating skills in terms of variable. Primary school fourth grade students have seen a positive relationship between their self-regulating skills and social information course academic achievements. However, it is found that the relationship between them is very low.
