Abstract:

The widely accepted approach is that teachers play a fundamental role in the long-term development of societies and the personal development of individuals. However, the well-being, overall satisfaction, and mental health of teachers are not only crucial for their own health but also for the general success and sustainability of the education system. The purpose of this research is to determine the levels of mental well-being and quality of work life of teachers working at the secondary education level. The research is designed in a correlational survey model. The population of the research consists of 1964 teachers working at the secondary education level, and the sample consists of 331 teachers selected using the disproportionate random sampling method. The data were collected using a personal information form, the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale, and the Quality of Work Life Scale. According to the findings, it was revealed that teachers have a high level of mental well-being and perceive a high level of quality of work life. Moreover, it was concluded that there is a significant, positive, and moderate relationship between teachers' levels of mental well-being and levels of quality of work life.
