Mesleki ve Teknik Liselerde Görev Yapan Kadın Yöneticilere Karşı Öğretmen Tutumlarının Farklı Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

Bu araştırma, Türkiye'deki eğitim sisteminde kadın yönetici sayısının az olmasının ve cinsiyet ayrımcılığına yönelik tutumların önemli bir rol oynadığı düşünülen konuları incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Eskişehir ilinde bulunan ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı olarak görev yapan 328 öğretmenin çalıştığı mesleki ve teknik liseler oluşturmaktadır. Örnekleme ise bu okullarda görev yapan toplam 139 öğretmen dahil edilmiştir.

Araştırma, tarama yöntemi kullanılarak karşılaştırma temelli olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak, Kişisel Bilgiler Formu ve "Kadın Yöneticilere Karşı Tutum Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, SPSS 26 istatistik programı kullanılarak bilgisayar ortamında analiz edilmiştir. Katılımcıların özelliklerinin sunumunda frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma istatistikleri kullanılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizlerde t testi ve Anova testleri kullanılmıştır.

Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, cinsiyet, medeni durum ve mesleki kıdem gibi faktörlere göre gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Ancak, yaş faktörüne bağlı olarak gruplar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık belirlenmemiştir.

Bu araştırma, kadın yöneticilere karşı tutumların incelenmesi açısından mesleki ve teknik liselerde görev yapan öğretmenlerin görüşlerini temel almaktadır. Bulgular, kadın yöneticilere yönelik tutumlar ile cinsiyet, medeni durum ve mesleki kıdem gibi değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri anlamamıza yardımcı olmaktadır. Bu araştırma sonuçları, cinsiyet eşitliği ve kadınların okul yönetimindeki rolünün geliştirilmesi için politika ve uygulamalara yönelik öneriler sunabilir.

Review of the teachers' attitudes towards women in the professional and technical high schools on different variables

Abstract:

This study was carried out in Turkey with the aim of examining issues that are considered to play an important role in the lack of number of women managers in the educational system in Turkey and the attitudes towards gender discrimination. The universe of research is made up of professional and technical high schools in which 328 teachers who are located in the province of Eskişehir and function according to the Ministry of National Education work. There are 139 teachers in these schools.

The research was carried out on the basis of comparison using the scanning method. As a data collection tool, the Personal Information Form and the "Women's Attitude Measurement to Managers" were used. The data obtained were analyzed in a computer environment using the SPSS 26 statistical program. The presentation of the characteristics of the participants used frequency, percentage, arithmetic average and standard deviation statistics. In statistical analyses, t tests and Anova tests were used.

According to the results of the study, significant differences between groups have been identified according to factors such as gender, civil status and professional age. However, there is no significant difference between the groups depending on age factor.

This research is based on the opinions of teachers working in professional and technical high schools in terms of the study of attitudes towards women managers. The findings help us understand the relationship between women’s attitudes towards managers and variables such as gender, civil status and professional age. These research findings may provide policy and practice recommendations for gender equality and the role of women in school management.

This research was conducted with the aim of examining the low number of female administrators in the education system and the attitudes towards gender discrimination, which are frequently discussed in today's Turkey. The population of the study consisted of 328 teachers working in vocational and technical high schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Eskişehir province during the 2022-2023 academic year. The sample included a total of 139 teachers working in these schools.

The research employed a comparative survey method. The data collection instruments used were the Personal Information Form and the "Attitude Scale towards Female Administrators." The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 26 statistical software in a computer environment. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used to present the characteristics of the participants. T-tests and ANOVA tests were employed for statistical analyses.

The findings of the research indicated significant differences among groups based on factors such as gender, marital status, and professional seniority. However, no significant difference was observed among groups based on age.

This research is based on the opinions of teachers working in vocational and technical high schools and aims to examine the attitudes towards female administrators. The findings contribute to understanding the relationship between attitudes towards female administrators and variables such as gender, marital status, and professional seniority. These research results can provide recommendations for policies and practices aimed at promoting gender equality and enhancing the role of women in school administration.
