Abstract This study considered some demographic factors as predictors of social skills development of pupils with learning and intellectual disabilities in primary schools in Ibadan North area of Oyo State. Purposeful random sampling technique was used to select the three schools from the special schools in the area, and three public schools to select pupils with learning disabilities, three instruments were administered on the participants. The data collected were analyzed using multiple linear regressions. The result indicated that both socioeconomic status and gender are social factors that could predict the social skills development of pupils with learning and intellectual disabilities. Likewise, degree of intellectual disability and age were influencing factors for social skills development of pupils with learning and intellectual disabilities. The implications were stated while the recommendations were highlighted.
