Özet:

This article aims to analyze the main characteristics of the peacebuilding strategy developed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) in the context of the armed conflict in Colombia, focusing in particular on the second decade of this century. The methodology implemented to achieve this objective focuses on the review of the different documents, strategies and master plans of the Spanish Cooperation (EC), which was complemented with in-depth and semi-structured interviews with two experts in the country's cooperation system, who have held positions of responsibility in both AECID and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. Among the main research results, it can be pointed out that AECID has implemented through its programs in Colombia a peacebuilding strategy that addresses the three dimensions of violence: structural violence, direct violence and cultural violence, in line with Johan Galtung's conceptualization; with special attention to peacekeeping and peacebuilding processes, leaving in the background the moment of negotiations (peacemaking).
