COVID-19 Pandemisi Sürecinde Trakya Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Mezuniyet Öncesi Tıp Eğitimi Uygulamaları

Küresel olarak yaşadığımız Covid-19 pandemisi sonucunda, dünyada ve ülkemizde tüm tıp fakültelerinde yüz yüze yapılan tüm teorik dersler ve uygulamalar sonlandırılmış, uzaktan eğitim, dijital eğitim olanakları ile verilmeye başlanmıştır. Fakültemizde 2019-2020 bahar döneminde derslerin büyük bir çoğunluğu asenkron olarak yapıldı. Pandemi ile üniversitelerde sınavların yüz yüze yapılmaması kararları doğrultusunda sınavlar, Trakya Üniversitesi Uzaktan Eğitim Merkezi ve Medu-Trakya üzerinden online (asenkron) olarak yapılmıştır. Ulusal çekirdek eğitim programı 2020 yayınlandıktan hemen sonra teorik derslerin ve uygulamaların düzenlenmesi, pandemi koşullarında derslerin yüz yüze, asenkron veya senkron olarak hangi oranlarda yapılacağı ilgili ders ve staj kurulları tarafından planlandı. Sonuç olarak, COVID-19 pandemisinin tıp fakülteleri mezunlarında bulunması gereken yetkinlikler ve yeterlikler üzerinde yeniden düşünme ihtiyacını ortaya çıkardığı kanısındayız. Ayrıca tıp fakültelerinde yüz yüze eğitimin önemi bir kez daha ortaya çıkarken, uzaktan eğitim olanaklarının da etkin bir şekilde kullanılabileceğinin deneyimlendiği düşüncesindeyiz. Buradan hareketle gelecekte normalleşme süreciyle birlikte tıp eğitimi programlarının gözden geçirilerek yeniden yapılandırılmak suretiyle farklı boyutlara taşınacağı öngörülebilir.

Abstract:

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic we live globally, all the theoretical courses and practices facing face-to-face in all medical faculties in the world and in our country have been completed, distance learning, digital education opportunities have begun to be provided. The majority of the courses in our faculty in the spring period 2019-2020 were performed as an asynchronous. According to the decisions that the examinations in universities with Pandemia are not facing face to face, the examinations have been carried out online (asenchronous) via the University of Trakya Remote Education Center and Medu-Trakya. The organization of the theoretical courses and practices immediately after the publication of the National Core Education Programme 2020 is planned by the relevant courses and internship committees in which rates the courses in pandemic conditions will be held face-to-face, asynchronous or synchronous. As a result, we believe that COVID-19 pandemic reveals the need to re-think on the skills and skills that medical faculty graduates should have. We also believe that while the importance of face-to-face education in medical faculty is revealed once again, we have experienced that the possibilities of distance learning can also be used effectively. From here with the move in the future, along with the normalization process, the medical education programs will be re-structured and moved to different dimensions.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, all theoretical courses and practices held face-to-face in all medical faculties in the world and in our country have been terminated, and distance education has begun to be provided with digital education opportunities. In our faculty, most of the courses in the spring semester of 2019-2020 were held asynchronously. With the pandemic, in line with the decision not to make face-to-face exams at universities, the exams were conducted online via Trakya University Distance Education Center and Medu-Trakya. Immediately after the publication of the national core education program 2020, the arrangement of the theoretical courses and practices, the rates of face-to-face, asynchronous or synchronous courses under pandemic conditions were planned by the relevant course and internship committees. In conclusion, we believe that the COVID-19 pandemic has raised the need to rethink the competencies required of medical school graduates. In addition, we think that while the importance of face-to-face education is revealed once again in medical faculties, it is experienced that distance education opportunities can also be used effectively. From this point of view, it can be predicted that medical education programs will be revised and restructured to different dimensions with the normalization process in the future.
