Abstract:

For the purpose of the study, organizational socialization Based on the sub-dimensions of organizational commitment, organizational acceptance, job satisfaction and motivation, it was aimed to compare the views of doctoral educators in detail between two different countries. The sample of the study consists of 14 educators who did their doctorate while working in Miami, US and Adana, Turkey, in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Research data were collected by semi-structured interview technique, which is one of the qualitative data collection techniques. The data obtained from the interviews were carried out with the MAXQDA 2022 program using the content analysis method. The findings showed that the socialization levels of the educators who did their doctorate while working differ according to the country they live in.
