Abstract:

The first purpose of this study is to study if adolescents’ psychological symptoms have the time to participate in sports activities, the time to use the internet, healthy nutrition and hopeful future conditions. The second goal is to figure out whether adolescents differ in psychological symptoms according to the low and high social support perceived, and the third goal is to figure out whether their psychological symptoms differ according to gender. The data is obtained through the Short Symptoms Inventory, the Detected Social Support Scale and the Personal Information Form. The data was analyzed by the t test for regression analysis and non-related samples. In the study, the dimensions of anxiety, negative self-sufficiency and somatisation in adolescents are significantly reflected by the subjects of "the time of participation in sports events, the time of internet use, healthy nutrition and being hopeful about the future"; the size of depression from these variables is only the time of internet use and the size of hostility is only the result of the participation in sports events and the time of internet use. A significant difference has also been observed in the benefit of adolescent psychological symptoms of anxiety, depression, somatisation, negative selfishness and hostility levels of low and high social support perceived. From psychological symptoms to anxiety, depression and somatisation, a significant difference was observed in the size of men in favor of gender; no significant difference was observed in the size of negative selfishness and hostility.
