İlkokullarda Okul İklimini İyileştirmeye Yönelik Uygulama Örnekleri

Abstract:

Bu araştırma ilkokullardaki okul iklimini iyileştirmeye yönelik uygulama örneklerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme tekniğiyle gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılı içerisinde Şanlıurfa ilinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı devlet okullarında görev yapmakta olan ilkokul müdürleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise evren içinde ölçüt örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen 21 ilkokul müdürü oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, görüşmecinin hazırladığı görüşme formu kullanılarak yüz yüze toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda okul müdürlerinin büyük çoğunluğunun; okullarında kişilerarası iletişimin sağlıklı olduğunu, okul paydaşlarının rehberlik servisi ile birlikte hareket ettiğini, öğretmenlere ve öğrencilere yönelik sportif, kültürel, sosyal faaliyetlerin düzenlendiğini, okulun fiziki çevresinin öğrenciye göre düzenlendiğini ifade ettikleri görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda okul müdürlerinin ifade ettikleri uygulamaların okul iklimine olumlu yönde etki ettiği belirlenmiştir.

Application Examples For Improving School Climate In Primary Schools

Abstract:

This research was carried out to examine the examples of practices aimed at improving the school climate in primary schools. The research was carried out with the interview technique, one of the qualitative research methods. The universe of the research consists of primary school principals working in public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Şanlıurfa in the 2019-2020 academic year. The sample of the research consists of 21 primary school principals determined by criterion sampling method within the universe. The data were collected face to face using the interview form prepared by the interviewer. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the research, it was seen that the majority of school principals stated Interpersonal communication in their schools was healthy, school stakeholders acted together with the guidance service, sportive, cultural and social activities were organized for teachers and students, and the physical environment of the school was arranged according to the student. In this context, it has been determined that the practices expressed by the school principals have a positive effect on the school climate.
