Abstract:

In this study, it was aimed to examine the postgraduate studies on father involvement in early childhood in Turkey according to year, type, research model, university, institute and department where the research was conducted. In this descriptive study, single scanning model, one of the general scanning models, was used. The universe of the study consists of all postgraduate theses on father involvement in early childhood in Turkey. There was no year limitation in the study, and all of the studies carried out from the past to 2022 were discussed. In the study, the database of YÖK National Thesis Center was searched using the keywords "father involvement" and "early childhood". As a result of the screening, a total of 15 graduate theses meeting the criteria of the study were included in the study. In the analysis of the data of the study, the document analysis technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. At the end of the work, it was found out that the studies were carried out between 2008-2022, most of which were carried out between 2018 and 2021, 93.3% of the studies were master's theses, and 80% of them were carried out with quantitative method, and most studies, approximately half of them, were conducted at Maltepe University. It was determined that while some of the studies were carried out in the Institute of Social Sciences, most of them were carried out in the Department of Psychology and Child Development and Education.
