OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to evaluate of patients undergoing CABG surgery the quality of life METHODS: A prospective descriptive study conducted on the sample of 118 patients scheduled for CABG surgery were included. The collection of data from the patient's demographic and medical history, to assess quality of life and healthy lifestyle SF36 scale was utilized. In statistical analyzes of data points, percentage, mean, t test, ANOVA, and correlations were made. Permit before starting work ethics, corporate approval and written consent was taken from patients. RESULTS: Patients, 56.8% in the 60-79 age range, 61% of the advent of a history of angina, 68.6% was determined to have other chronic diseases. SF36 quality of life of patients and emotional role function, physical role function scale scores is quite low; healthy lifestyle scale exercise, stress management and health responsibility subscale scores were found to be low. CONCLUSION: Quality of life of patients undergoing CABG surgery and a healthy lifestyle is not determined to be at an expected level. The administration of education in this field and the continuity of work is important, it is seen that done.
