Purpose: This study aims to identify the signs and risks of child abuse and neglect of nurses. Method: The research was carried out with nurses working in a hospital associated with the University of Health Sciences (n=116). The data is collected with the indicative information form containing the indicative characteristics of nurses and the scale form to identify the symptoms and risks of child abuse and abuse. The five-approximation of the scale score average indicates that the questions are answered correctly. The statistical analysis of the data used Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests. Results: The average age of nurses is 28.44±6.14 years, and 19.8% of nurses experience child abuse and abuse during their professional practice, 69. At 0’s study time, 19.0 percent found that they received education about abuse and neglect of children after graduation. The average scale point for the diagnosis of the symptoms and risks of child abuse and infertility of nurses is 2.36±0.50. The scale ratio is higher in nurses aged 35 years and older, having children, having more than 10 years of professional experience, and the gender has no impact on the ratio. The result: In this study, the nurses found that the signs and risks of child abuse and neglect were not sufficient. The age and professional experience of nurses has been determined to affect the levels of recognition of signs and risks of child abuse and neglect.
