Efemera olarak nitelendirilebilecek olan nesneler arasında yer alan tahvil ve hisse senetleri geçerliliklerini yitirmiş, mali ya da iktisadi kıymetlerini kaybetmişolsalar dahi, süreç içerisinde ilgilileri için eskilik ve nadirlik açısından giderek yükselen bir değer kazanmaktadır.Bu mütevazı çalışma temelde, şu birkaç soruya cevap aramak için kaleme alınmıştır. Pekâlâ, bu kâğıtlar kimin için ve niçin önemlidir? İktisat tarihi yazımında tahvil ve hisse senetlerini konu edinen çalışmada temelde, nostaljik bir obje ya da bir koleksiyonerin ilgisinin ötesinde, bu değerli kâğıtların bilimsel bir değeri var mıdır? İktisat tarihi çalışmalarında tahvil ve hisse senetlerinin önemi nedir? Bu değerli kâğıtları nasıl okumalıyız? Belgesel bir değere sahip midirler? İktisadi hayatın vazgeçilmez unsurları arasında yer alan şirketler aslında kuruluş nizamnamelerinde, şirketin tahvil ve hisse senetlerini düzenleyen, açıklayan hükümlere yer vermektedirler. Kullanılan dilden, kimler için çıkarılmış olduğuna, şirket merkezinin neresi olduğundan, mali ya da iktisadi karşılıklarına pek çok bilgi, söz konusu nizamnamelerin ilgili hükümlerinde ayrıntılarıyla açıklanmaktadır. Ancak bazen ilgilenilen dönemde kurulmuş herhangi bir şirketin nizamnamesine ulaşılamamakta, hatta bazen hakkında hiçbir bilgi bulunamamaktadır. İşte burada tahvil ve hisse senetlerinin önemi ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu durumda, ilgili şirket hakkında bir şeyler söyleyebilmek ancak tahvil ve hisse senetleri üzerinden olabilmektedir. Örneğin bir hisse senedi ve tahvilden hareketle şirketin amacı, merkezi, adresi, kuruluş tarihi ve sermayesi gibi temel bilgilere ulaşılabilir. Ayrıca şirket merkezinin dışında açılmış olan farklı bir şubenin varlığı da tespit edilebilir. Ya da ilgili dönemde idare meclisi başkanın kim olduğu sorusu cevaplanabilir. Bilinenlerin dışında kurucu isimlere ilave edilmesi gereken yeni bir müessisten haberdar olunabileceği gibi hisse senedi ve tahvilin kaçıncı tertip olarak piyasaya sürüldüğü de anlaşılabilir. Yakın dönem iktisat tarihi yazımında ihmal edilemeyecek bir öneme sahip olduğu düşünülen konu, Osmanlı Devleti’nin son döneminden Cumhuriyet’in ilk yıllarına uzanan bir süreçte örneklerle ele alınacak olup, ortaya çıkan sorulara cevap niteliği taşıyan tespitlerle aydınlatılmaya çalışılacaktır.
The bonds and shares that are among the objects that can be referred to as the Ephemera; even if they have lost their validity, their financial or economic values, they gain a increasing value in terms of agility and rarity for their stakeholders during the process. For whom and why are these papers important? In the study on bonds and shares in the Economic History Writing, beyond the interest of a nostalgic object or collections, does these valuable papers have a scientific value? What is the importance of bonds and shares in the history of the economy? How do we read these valuable papers? Do they have a documentary value? The companies that are among the indispensable elements of economic life are actually placed in the organization's regulations, the company's bonds and shares, which regulate, explain the provisions. Many information from the language used, for whom it was drawn, where the company's headquarters is, financial or economic responsibilities, are explained in detail in the relevant provisions of the respective regulations. But sometimes the name of any company established during the time concerned is unaccessible, and sometimes there is no information about it. This is where the importance of bonds and shares is revealed. In this case, something about the relevant company can be said only through bonds and shares. For example, by moving from a stock and bond, you can access basic information such as the company's purpose, headquarters, address, establishment date and capital. It is also possible to identify the existence of a different branch that is opened outside the company's headquarters. The question of who the chairman is can be answered. Except for what is known, it is possible to be informed of a new agency that should be added to the founding names, as well as that the stock and bonds are marketed as a preventive preference. The subject that is considered to have an important importance in the recent period of economic history will be addressed with examples in a process that extends from the last period of the Ottoman State to the first years of the Republic, and will be attempted to be illuminated with findings that have the responsibility to the emerging questions.
Bonds and stocks which are among the objects that can be described as ephemera, are gaining importance in terms of their oldness and rarity for those concerned, even if they have lost their validity and fiscal or economical value. So, for whom and why these papers are important? Our study that subjects the importance of bonds and stocks in the economic historiography basically search answers to questions like; is there a scientific value of these valuable papers beyond the interest of a collector to a nostalgic object; what is the importance of bonds and stocks in economic history studies, how can we read these valuable papers and do they have documental value? The companies, which are among the indispensable elements of economic life, actually include provisions that explains the company’s bonds and stocks in their establishment regulations. Information like for whom these papers are issued, the location of the company's headquarters and the fiscal or economical collateral are explained in detail in the relevant provisions of the said regulations. However, sometimes the name of the company which established during the searched period can not be reached, and even more sometimes no information is available. Here, the importance of bonds and stocks emerges. In this cases, we can only talk about the company through these bonds and stocks. For example, with reference to the bond and stock; basic information such as the purpose, center, address, establishment date and capital of the company can be reached. It is also possible to identify the existence of a different branch outside the company center. Or the question of who is the president of the executive council in the relevant period can be answered. It can be also understood from these papers whether there is a new founder apart from the known ones. Moreover the issued rank of the bonds and stocks to the stock market can also be identified. The subject which is thought to have a negligible importance in the recent period economic historiography, will be examined with examples from the last period of the Ottoman Empire to the first years of the Republic and will tried to be enlightened with responsive determinations to the emerging questions.
