Project portfolio management refers to a process carried out by project managers and project management organizations to analyze the potential financial returns of a project to be undertaken. In this sense, beyond the classical investment project evaluation, it is necessary to consider the resource constraints of the project portfolio manager, the strategic orientation of the company, and the possible risks of the project. In this context, various calculations have been made on the scenarios that are prepared by using Net Present Value, Capital Rationing, Balanced Scorecard, Commercial Value Analysis and Earned Value Analysis techniques. In the evaluation of alternative investment projects, the importance of multidimensional financial analysis was emphasized by adding quality dimension to Earned Value Analysis.
