Genotipleme işleminde Real-time PCR yöntemi kullanılmıştır.
Genetic factors contribute to the athletic performance. So far, more than 200 genetic variants have been linked to physical performance, and more than 20 have been linked to elite athlete status. One of these genetic factors, HIFlA has been shown to have a general role in multiple physiological reactions such as erythropoesis, glycolysis and angiogenesis against hypoxia. Our study aims to study the distribution of polymorphism in female volley players HIF1A (rs11549465) . There were 21 professional volleyball players involved. DNA isolation from cells obtained by sample collection swaps from oral epithelial cells has been performed. In the process of genotyping, the real-time PCR method is used. In our cohort HIF1A rs11549465 in terms of polymorphism, CC, CT genotype percentages were found as 16 (%76,2), 5 (%23,8) respectively. There is no genotype. There was no genotype in our cohort. In terms of allel distribution, allel C is 37 (88.1%), and allel T is 5 (11.9%). The SPSS-18.0 program has been tested for statistical analysis. We believe that this work will contribute to literature by giving light to more comprehensive work to be done in the future.
