The purpose of this research is to develop a motivation scale that could be used in measuring the motivations of prospective music teachers for Individual Voice Training course. Motivation defined as intrinsic and driving force which mobilizes the organism, energizes, invoking an emotional uprising (enthusiasm, desire) and guides behaviors for reaching certain goals and carrying out the necessary acts in certain situations. Also significantly influences the students\' concern on course, learning desire, success and creativity in Individual Voice Training course as well as in other courses. Therefore, the measurement of students\' motivation for the Individual Voice Training course is important and necessary for the evaluation and correct orientation of the educational process. Also, it is anticipated that the quality of the courses will be increased with the standard measurement tools. In the study, 5-point Likert-type scale was taken as the scale model for the motivation scale developed by the researcher based on expert opinions. The scale, with its recent form, has been applied to 200 students studying in the Music Training Departments of Faculty of Education in İzmir Dokuz Eylül University, Balıkesir University and Aydın Adnan Menderes University and taking the Individual Voice Training Course. Analysis of data obtained was carried out with SPSS 15.0 packaged software. Cronbach\'s alpha reliability coefficient of the scale is α = 0.93. It is expected that motivation scale developed for Individual Voice Training course would contribute to training and benefit to relevant instructors, researchers and prospective music teachers.
