BULANIK MANTIK VE KONTROL SİSTEMLERİNİN BİREYSEL KREDİLENDİRMELERİN NİHAİ KARAR AŞAMASINDA KULLANIMI

Abstract:

Batık kredilerdeki hızlı artış, bankaların kredi verirken risklerini minimize edebilmeleri için daha temkinli ve seçici davranmalarını gerektirmektedir. Kredilendirme işlemleri, her ne kadar nesnel ve nicel finansal kriterler kullanılarak yapılıyor olsa da müşteriye sunulan kredi teklifi müşterinin beklentilerini karşılamadığı zaman, nihai karar aşaması sezgisel olarak gerçekleştirilebilmektedir. Bu gibi durumlarda, alınan kararların başarımı banka personelinin veya birim yöneticisinin tecrübelerine bağlı kalmaktadır. Bu tür öznel uygulamalar, hem bir banka içinde tek tip olmayan kredilendirme kararlarının alınmasına hem de batık kredi olasılığının artmasına neden olabilmektedir. Bu sakıncaları gidermenin yollarından biri, nihai karar aşamasının banka üst yönetimi tarafından ortak akıl ile belirlenmiş bazı öznel kurallar dahilinde standartlaştırılıp otomatikleştirilmesidir. Bulanık mantık, öznel yargıların ve nitel kriterlerin nicel olarak değerlendirilmesine ve analiz edilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, kredilendirme sürecinin nihai karar aşamasında kullanılmak üzere oluşturulan örnek bir öznel değerlendirme kural tabanı için bulanık mantık yaklaşımlarından nasıl yararlanılabileceğini incelemektir. Çalışmada, hipotetik bir kredilendirme problemi ele alınmış, bulanık dilsel niteleyiciler, bulanık önermeler ve bulanık mantık kontrol sistemi (BMKS) kullanılarak modellenmiş ve çözülmüştür. Çözüm sonucunda MATLAB yazılımı ile görselleştirilen BMKS kural tabanı, farklı seviyelerdeki öznel değerlendirme puanlarının nihai karar üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesini olanaklı kılmıştır. Ayrıca, elde edilen pseudo-code iki boyutlu yüzey görüntüsü ile karar alanları ve müşteri grupları oluşturulmuştur.

Abstract:

The rapid rise in loans requires banks to be more cautious and selective in order to minimize their risks when giving loans. The credit transactions, although they are done using objective and quantitative financial criteria, can be made intuitively when the credit offer offered to the customer does not meet the customer’s expectations. In such cases, the success of the decisions made depends on the experience of the bank staff or the unit manager. Such subjective practices can lead to the adoption of non-single credit decisions within a bank as well as the increase in the likelihood of a borrowed loan. One of the ways to solve these disadvantages is to standardize and automatize the final decision stage within certain objective rules defined by the bank’s top management by common reason. The distorted logic enables the quantitative assessment and analysis of subjective judgments and quality criteria. The aim of this study is to explore how the foolish logical approaches to a subjective assessment rule base can be used as an example created to be used in the final decision-making phase of the crediting process. In the study, a hypothetical crediting problem was addressed, modeled and solved using foolish linguistic ratings, foolish suggestions and foolish logic control system (BMKS). The BMKS rule base, visualized with the MATLAB software as a result of the solution, has made it possible to examine the impact of subjective assessment points at different levels on the final decision. In addition, the obtained pseudo-code has been created decision fields and customer groups with a two-dimensional surface image.

The Use Of Fuzzy Logic and Control Systems In The Final Step Of Consumer Lending Decisions

The rapid increase in bad loans caused banks to be more cautious and selective for minimizing their risks. However, although banks make the lending decision by using quantitative financial criteria, the final decision step is usually intuitive/judgemental when the offer does not meet the expectations of the customer. In this case, the success of the decision directly depends on the experience of the bank personnel or unit manager. Such an application may lead to decisions that do not comply with a specific standard/rule and result in default. One of the ways to eliminate these drawbacks is to standardize and automate the final decision phase within the framework of some subjective rules determined with common sense by the top management of the bank. Fuzzy logic allows quantitative analysis of subjective judgments and qualitative criteria. In this context, the aim of the study is to examine how fuzzy logic approaches can be used in the final step of lending decisions. A hypothetical lending decision was modeled and resolved using fuzzy linguistic qualifiers, fuzzy propositions, and fuzzy logic control systems. As a result, the fuzzy rule base of the control system that was visualized with MATLAB made it possible to examine the impact of different levels of subjective evaluation scores on the final decision. Also, decision fields and customer groups could be created with the pseudo-code surface images.
