Abstract:

At present, parallel to the growth of the national and international trade of companies, logistics business is now expected to be carried out faster, more economically, more quality and more reliably. Therefore, the concept of "logistic base" is seen as one of the most researched and attempted organizational structures in recent years. When we look at the countries with a large share in global trade, it is possible to see that they use this type of structures extremely efficiently and are in the forefront as the logistics-based countries that host all the logistics processes and can use it in the most efficient and efficient way. In recent years, planning and investment work has also begun in Turkey to be able to compete with developed countries in the sector by establishing logistics bases. In this scope, the logistics performance index, along with the situation of the logistics bases in Turkey, has been compared to some countries and has been drawn up within the article limits of what should be done in order to get our country in a better situation with the sector.
