Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki tüm hastanelerin vizyon ifadelerinin içeriklerinin belirlenmesi ve hastanelerin mülkiyet yapısına, hizmet türüne, eğitim statüsüne, akreditasyon durumuna ve zincir olma durumuna göre karşılaştırmaların yapılmasıdır. Bu amaca ulaşabilmek için Türkiye’deki hem kamu hem de özel sektöre ait hastaneler çalışmanın evreni olarak belirlenmiştir. 836 kamu ve 525 özel hastane olmak üzere toplamda 1361 hastanenin vizyon ifadesi incelenmiştir. Hastanelerin vizyon ifadelerinin karşılaştırılmasında içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Vizyon ifadeleri geleceğe yönelik umut, meydan okuma ve mükemmellik, etkileyicilik ve duygusallık, personel güçlendirme, geleceğe hazırlama ve anımsanabilirlik ve yön verme öğeleri kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın sonuçları, hastanelerin mülkiyet yapısına, hizmet türüne, eğitim statüsüne, akreditasyon durumuna ve zincir olma durumuna göre vizyon ifadesi içerikleri bakımından anlamlı farklılıklar olduğunu göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte elde edilen sonuçlar, hastanelerin büyük çoğunluğunun vizyon oluşturmada mükemmele ulaşamadığını ortaya koymaktadır.

The aim of this study was to determine the content of the vision statements of all hospitals in Turkey and to make comparison based on the hospital ownership structure, type of service, education status, accreditation condition and chain condition. To achieve this goal, both the public and private sector hospitals in Turkey has been identified as the universe of the study. A total of 1361 hospitals, including 836 public and 525 private hospitals, were examined. Content analysis was used to compare the vision statements of the hospitals. Vision statements have been assessed using elements which are hope for the future, challenging and about excellence, impressiveness and emotionality, empowerment, prepare for the future and memorable and provide guidance. The results of this study show that there are significant differences in terms of vision statement contents according to the ownership structure of the hospitals, service type, education status, accreditation status and chain status. The results, however, reveal that the vast majority of hospitals do not achieve excellence in creating vision.
