Purpose: The aim of the research is to examine the time management skills of female students staying at university student dormitories in terms of their participation in sports activities and their academic success levels. Method: In the research, 698 female students staying at state and private dormitories studying at Hitit University voluntarily took part. As part of the research, the academic success levels of the students were evaluated through the grade system of 4 and grouped as bad (0-2), medium (2 -3) and well (3-4). Participants' time management skills were obtained using the “Time Management Scale”, and their sports activity and academic status were obtained using the demographic information form. In the SPSS package program, the relationship between the participants' time management skill level and their academic achievement was analyzed using the correlation test, and the relationship between participation in sports activities and their academic achievement status was analyzed using the Independent Samples t Test. In statistical analysis, the level of significance was determined as p <0.05. Results: As a result of the analysis of the research data, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between the academic grade point average ranges in terms of time management scale general score averages (p <0.05). A positive correlation was found between the time management sub-dimension and the academic achievement, and a significant negative relationship was found with the time-consuming sub-dimension. In addition, it was observed that there was a significant difference between students' participation in sports activities and their time management overall scores. Conclusion: As a result of the research, it can be said that the students with high academic success among the students staying in university dormitories have high time management skills, and participation in sports activities does not have a negative effect on time management.
