Bireylerin yaşamları boyunca karşılaştıkları stres ve kaygı durumları ile başa çıkmak önemli bir beceri gerektirmektedir. Stres ve kaygı durumları bireylerin yaşamlarına olumlu ya da olumsuz yön verebilir. Dolayısıyla engel yaratacak durumlarla başa çıkılması stres ve kaygı düzeyini aza indirecektir. Bu doğrultuda bireylerin öğrenilmiş güçlülük düzeylerinin belirlenmesi önem taşımaktadır. Bu araştırma ön lisans düzeyinde eğitim alan üniversite öğrencilerinin Öğrenilmiş Güçlülük düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma Uşak Üniversitesi Ulubey Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencileri üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada nicel yöntemlerden faydalanılmış, veri toplama aracı olarak anket tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin öğrenilmiş güçlülük düzeylerini belirlemek için Rosembaum (1980) tarafından geliştirilen “Öğrenilmiş Güçlülük Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda önlisans öğrencilerine 350 anket çoğaltılıp verilmiş ve değerlendirmeye 293 tanesi uygun görülmüştür.
