Abstract:

The ecological destruction created by the capitalist production style/system, the unlimited use of natural resources, the sacrifice of agricultural land to industrialization, the unplanned growth of cities, etc. The situation has reached threatening dimensions for the existence of humanity in the world. So that the social, economic, environmental problems created by capitalism are progressing towards an irreversible conclusion unless necessary measures are taken. This will bring the end of the planet to humanity. From the past to today, the question is how we can create a world/community that is compatible with the environment/natural, with little social inequality, and the answer to this question is still being sought. One of the answers to this question is the Perspective of Sustainable Development, one of the fairy tales invented by the capitalist system. The concept of sustainable development refers to the search for solutions to the problems that the capitalist system raises. The defenders of sustainable development aim to make the development continued without causing major problems that threaten the existence of the system. Despite the existence of different approaches, sustainable development approach has been able to find significant support for a period. In this context, many new social movements have created themselves. The slow movement, which can be addressed in the context of new social movements, evolved over time as a urban governance model, the Cittaslow movement emerged. The Cittaslow movement, despite its shortcomings and limitations, is considered one of the most important examples in the implementation of sustainable development. That is, a reactive response that it produces not from the outside of the system, but from within itself can be accepted.
