Abstract:

This article addresses the issue of animal rights in Islam. The subject includes the fields of the Qur’an, Sunnah, Islamic Law, Islamic Societies, Islamic Culture and Literature. The article does not allow them to deal with the dimensions of the subject in full, but it is focused on the framework of the Qur’an and the Sunnah. In the time we live there is a growing corruption in the values. This is the most apparent feature of an increase in behavior that involves misbehavior to animals. This bad view makes it necessary to renew the view of Islam, the most fundamental value of society, on this subject again in the minds. The name of the twenty-eight animals is mentioned in the Qur’an. The name of the six Sures of the Qur’an is also named by the name of a animal. In the Qur’an, the animals are said as beings that are like our peoples, which are never isolated, which are not lowered to a lower class, which praise God, which seed to Him. by Hz. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a great prophet. by Hz. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had lived with the animals, named the devil, the horse, and the sheep, and found them in good treatments, and even discussed the judgment of the devil in controversial matters. The need for this rich viewpoint, which was expressed fifteen centuries ago, to be recalled for today is quite great.
