Abstract:

The crisis is important in the hotel business as in every business. It will be a great benefit for business founder and management staff to know and take care of the types of crises that they may face, to manage the moment of the crisis well and to evaluate the data that is formed afterwards. Therefore, every business should take care of the issue of crisis management in the organization stage. In recent years, global and local crises have affected and affected that operate in the tourism sector, depending on various factors. The management plans and proactive approaches that hotel business managers do or will do in possible crises play a major role. The proactive approaches of managers can save the business from the negative position in a crisis situation and turn the crisis into an opportunity. This study, which aims to provide information about crises, crisis processes and the perspectives of hotel business managers, which have become an important topic in the continuation of their lives, has been discussed as two sections on theoretical information and practice. The first part theoretically includes the concept of crisis, the characteristics of the crisis and the types of crisis in hotel enterprises. In the second section, a conversation was conducted to general assessment of the crisis management in the hotel enterprises, in order to understand what the hotel business managers want to say.
