People’s medicine is an empirical practice that people in rural areas often apply as an alternative to hospitals and doctors, which is indexed and evolving in line with the oral tradition to the non-realistic teams. In cases where the possibilities of the people do not go away or for other reasons, public medicine has many practices in both the world and in Turkey. “People’s medicine” applied to the treatment of physical and mental diseases is widely considered as “alternative medicine”. People's medicine has a very old and rooted history. People’s doctors who use the data obtained by people’s experience and accumulation throughout history learn in the oral tradition. There is no school of public medicine. The familiarity from the family alone, the personal ability, the suitability of the fetus and the impact of the surrounding environment can be found in the appearance of public doctors. In our study we will explore the interruptions in the community of public doctors who are still living in Van’s Ozalp district and villages, how people deal with material and spiritual problems, the processes of social and cultural development over time and the psychosocial roles of public medicine. In our review we discussed people aged 20 to 80 who are active in public medicine and who apply to public doctors. The study will be examined with data and findings obtained through individual interviews and observations.
