Eğitim ve öğretim, insanların hayatlarında çok önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Alınan eğitim sonucunda insanlar mesleklerini seçmektedirler. Yapılan tercihler ve sonuçları ise beklentilerin test edilebildiği aşamadır. Emek yoğun turizm endüstrisinde eğitim ve öğretimin önemi gün geçtikçe önemini arttırmaktadır. Bu bağlamda öğrenciler aldıkları eğitim ve öğretim sonucunda kariyerlerine başlamakta ve beklentilerini değerlendirmektedirler. Bunun yanında onları yetiştiren ve yaşamlarının tüm aşamalarında bulunan ailelerinin de beklentileri önem arz etmektedir. Araştırmada Sakarya Uygulamalı Bilimler Üniversitesi, Turizm Fakültesi 1. sınıf öğrencilerinin ailelerinin turizm endüstrisinden beklentilerinin ortaya çıkarılması amacıyla 103 kişiye nicel veri yöntemlerinden anket tekniği uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre ailelerin mesleki beklenti, iş bulabilme, sosyal ilişkiler ve çalışma ortamı ve kariyer boyutlarında bazı demografik değişkenlere göre farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Gastronomi gibi turizm eğitimi anlamında yeni sayılabilecek bölümlerde çocukları eğitim ve öğretim gören ailelerin iş bulabilme noktasında olumlu düşündükleri tespit edilmiştir.
Education and teaching hold a very important place in people’s lives. As a result of the training, people choose their professions. The preferences and results are the phase where expectations can be tested. The importance of education and teaching in the work-intense tourism industry is increasing on a daily basis. In this context, students begin their careers as a result of their education and teaching they receive and evaluate their expectations. They are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones. In the study, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Tourism first class students' expectations from the tourism industry to 103 people were applied the survey technique from quantum data methods in order to reveal the expectations of their families. According to the results of the study, differences have been identified by demographic variables in the family's professional expectations, job finding, social relationships and work environment and career dimensions. In terms of tourism education such as Gastronomy, new areas that can be counted have been found that families who educate and teach their children are positive in the point of finding a job.
